Pagan - Wiccan

My Story - I was raised in a family of Southern Baptists and as a kid my grandma took my brother and me to church every Sunday. Later on in life my brother was baptized and I became a Wiccan. Although I was raised to be a Christian, I don't think that I ever was. For starters, I never believed in Jesus Christ as he was preached to me from the bible. For a long time I went through life not knowing what to believe. Because of this I was able to keep an open mind and come to my own opinions on what I now believe in. I heard and saw spirits as a kid and because of these experiences I knew, without the presence of religion, that a spiritual realm existed and that everything in nature has a soul or a spirit.

I was researching Native American belief structures when I met my friend Queshane in high school. He is a Wiccan with Haitian decent. When he told me about Wicca, I started to do my own research and felt that it closely matched the beliefs that I already had about spirituality. I officially became a Wiccan on Halloween (Samhain) night 2002. I am always learning something new about pagan practices and feeling so much love in my life. Love is at the heart of my beliefs and I hope to give a little bit of that to everyone I encounter. I hope that the information on this site is useful to you in some way. Please keep in mind that all pagans practice in their own way. The information that I present here should be used as a guide at best to help you find your way. It can also introduce you to Wicca if you have only ever heard the term, but not know much about it. I wish you the best and blessed be!
